My take on the days events:
I started the day off in close company of the C.O. as his assistant, we watched most of the action fairly up close throughout the first two objectives after which I was ordered by the C.O. to break from command and head to the lines for some intel, which turned into combat.
1st objective: Sitting back and watching all of the movement of the entire JFOK force was an awesome site. There were heavy casualties in the beginning but the JOFK force was overwhelming and the push could not be stopped. Once the KPA realized that a L.A.W. had taken several of them out, the JFOK force pushed into position and took control. Very nice movement all around from everyone.
2nd objective: This one got a little rough, although major props should be given to the KPA for spreading their force out and getting us a little confused and split apart. Good work KPA. The ridge proved to be very difficult to push through as our visability was very limited. This became a problem especially when communication seemed to break down and several squads became caught in Friendly Fire. However changes were made by the C.O. and the objective was completed. After which point the C.O. had all platoons regroup and take a break, where he changed a few tactics, emphasized the process of pushing forward, and managed to do the best to fix the radio traffic and comm problems. Very nice work again from everyone and all the squads and platoon leaders for getting the job done and not letting some frustration get the better of the situation.
3rd objective: After regrouping, the JFOK forces led by their squad leaders and platoon leaders put on a clinic! Awesome movement, tactics, and shooting. Once the JFOK force moved into position, they pushed passed the creek and a hundred Tannie's swept the area slinging a serious amount of plastic. Much Respect to the KPA forces in that area, they knew they were gonna get lit up but stayed in and fought to the end, and put up a heck of a fight too!
4th objective: JFOK forces managed to once again use the L.A.W. to help achieve this objective as TearGas put a rocket right thru the commo door! Great work with that L.A.W. Teargas! Also there was some great hard charging by some that sacrificed themselves to help the surge.
5th objective: There was some concern as to whether JFOK would be able to achieve this within the time limit. And KPA wasn't gonna back down easily, they were ready. There was a mad rush across the field and the losses were heavy but once again the JFOK force kept charging and pushing until we made our way to cover. After that there was some good shooting both on the KPA side and JFOK side and the battle raged. JFOK's numbers proved to be to much and after a little while JFOK managed to take control and sweep the area, eliminating the few KPA that were left and taking control within the time frame allowed.
I just want to say how much Respect I have for KPA and JFOK forces. And as far as rule breaking and people not calling their hits, I saw none of that. As with anything nothing is completely perfect, but all those that I saw played very honest. I think maybe their were a few instances where adrenaline took over but those that I saw caught up in that realized quickly they had been shot and took their hits.
Outstanding job KPA for making JFOK work for everything they got.
JFOK, it was a pleasure to be on the same side as you. Hats off to all of you from all the different states that made the trip. I also think that the C.O. Queball deserves some props for a job very well done. X.O., Platoon leaders, and Squad leaders also did an outstanding job leading their respective groups on the field of play.
Thanks also to Smoker and Pitt for keeping the flow of the game and making sure we were all doing what we were supposed to be doing. Thanks to Kashi for the use of the land, and thanks to Kastner and all the Sponsors who donated the great door prizes. Also thanks to everyone that had a role in making this one top notch event.
